The Network will feature new programming as well as shows and podcasts from the established FUBU Radio lineup. Spearheading the endeavor are FUBU Radio co-founders Demetrius L. Brown and Keith Perrin. Perrin is also one of the co-founders and a co-owner of the influential, globally recognized FUBU apparel company.

“FUBU isn’t just a brand, it’s a movement. And FUBU Radio is no different,” said Perrin. “Our mission is to bridge the gap between generations and enrich everyone through music and culture. We’re working to create life-changing content, entertaining and empowering our audience by focusing on the things that really matter.”

FUBU Radio was founded in 2015, delivering contemporary and classic hip hop and R&B along with original talk radio programming. Featured shows include “The Takeover,” hosted by Shawana “Shay” McCray. The station plans to expand its podcast lineup through its new Network, delivering shows featuring celebrity interviews, comedy, business insights, and discussions on black economic growth.

With roots in Hollis Queens, NY, the FUBU brand was established in 1992. Along with his close friends, including Perrin, J. Alexander Martin, and Carl Brown, CEO Daymond John began making tie-top hats out of his home, giving rise to TEAM FUBU. By creating clothes “for the consumer, by the consumer,” FUBU grew into a global sportswear sensation, accumulating over $6 Billion in sales to date.

As a company with a mission, FUBU has received several honors for its impact and entrepreneurship. Accolades include two NAACP Awards, two Congressional Awards, the Pratt Institute Award, the Christopher Wallace Award, the Online Hip-Hop Award, and a Citation of Honor from the Queens Borough President.

“The FUBU brand is iconic,” said You42 President Ashley Johnson. “The dream they realized and the success that followed left a lasting impact on the culture. That same boldness is now in the DNA of the FUBU Radio Network.”

In addition to its new Network, FUBU Radio currently streams live through iHeartRadio as well as the FUBU Radio app, available for download on iOS and Android.
