Boondocks, the nationally acclaimed music venue located in Springfield, IL, is opening its doors to the world with the launch of the Boondocks Network. Powered by the You42 Platform, this new digital space features live performances and behind-the-scenes access from established musicians and rising stars, including Josh Abbott, Kolby Cooper and Chris Knight.
“Now more than ever, people are craving a personal connection with their favorite musicians and performers,” said Boondocks founder Carole Keating. “The Boondocks Network gives us the chance to take that connection beyond the stage, providing fans with an immersive experience that brings them even closer to their favorite artists.”
A winner of the Academy of Country Music’s Nightclub of the Year Award, Boondocks is one of the nation’s premiere mid-cap venues for country music, having hosted legendary acts like Dwight Yoakam, Joe Diffe, and Florida Georgia Line.
The Boondocks Network utilizes a multi-camera system for filming musical performances, giving viewers the feeling of being front row at a live show. After watching the concert, fans can stream standalone tracks from the performance as part of the Concert Album Series. Also featured are Mobile Moments, where visiting acts and crew members share short, behind the scenes clips that bring the world of Boondocks and country music to life.
Future plans for the Network include a podcast series as well as a lineup of livestream events, where fans around the world can experience live performances as they happen.
